Do children have to wear specialist clothes?

Gymnastics and movement classes for childrenNo. Children take off shoes and socks and participate in bear feet for gymnastics and wear just socks for safety reasons for trampolining. Shorts and T-shirt are sufficient or a tracksuit.  Please do not go out and spend money on leotards or special gym shoes. Pre-school children grow quickly and there is no need to spend a lot of money of special items of clothing. If you can pick up 2nd hand leotards then the children do like to look the part but please do not spend a great deal of money on something which may bcome a passing phase or they will quickly grow out of.  We do sell both second hand and new leotards in various styles at the club.

What apparatus are available for participants use?

Children are able to use hand apparatus within warm up and cool down periods.  This can include tap sticks, balloons, feathers, ribbons, scarves, bean bags, balls, hoops, etc.  These apparatus assist children to learn hand eye co-ordination, concentration skills an to learn about speed and gravity, colours, shapes, etc.
